Celebrations

Foundation of Shamma (February 2nd) – On this day, in 2011, Stichting Shamma was founded by Qasam Hussain, Shohaib Raja, and Tayyab Babar.

Ramadan (February 17th 2026 untill March 18th 2026) – Ramadan is the holy month of fasting, prayer, reflection, and community, observed by Muslims worldwide.

Pakistan Day (March 23rd) – This day marks the Lahore Resolution of 1940, which led to the creation of Pakistan. It is a national holiday with official ceremonies.

Labour Day (May 1st) – Recognizes the contributions of workers.

Fatima Jinnah (July 30th) – Commemorates the birthday of Madir-e-Milat Mohtarma Fatima Jinnah

Youm-e-Takbeer (May 28th) – Marks Pakistan’s nuclear tests in 1998.

Independence Day (August 14th) – Pakistan became independent from British rule in 1947. People celebrate with flag-raising, parades, and fireworks.

Mawlid (September 4th 2025) – Birth of Prophet Muhammad

Defence Day (September 6th) – Honors the sacrifices of soldiers during the 1965 war with India.

Muhammad Ali Jinnah Death Anniversary (September 11th) – Marks the passing of Pakistan’s founding father in 1948, a day to reflect on his enduring legacy and the vision he set for the nation.

Iqbal Day (November 9th) – Commemorates the birthday of Allama Iqbal, a poet and philosopher who played a key role in inspiring Pakistan’s creation.

Quaid-e-Azam Day (December 25th) – Commemorates the birthday the birthday of Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the founder of Pakistan.
